Salt therapy frequently asked questions

Does salt therapy hurt?

No. Salt therapy is completely non-invasive and painless.

Can I sleep during my session?

Absolutely. Many guests find the environment so relaxing that they drift off to sleep.

Is the salt safe to breathe?

Yes. The salt used in our halogenerator is pharmaceutical-grade sodium chloride that is ground into microscopic dry particles designed specifically for halotherapy.

Will I feel the salt?

Most people notice very little. Some guests experience a slight salty taste or mild dryness in the throat. The salt dust may show up on your skin or clothing.

How many sessions should I have?

Everyone is different.

Some guests visit occasionally for relaxation, while others make salt therapy part of their regular wellness routine by attending weekly or multiple times per week.

Is salt therapy suitable for children?

Yes. Children often enjoy salt therapy, particularly in our family-friendly sessions. Children should always be supervised by an adult.

Can I use my phone?

To preserve the peaceful environment, we ask that phones remain on silent if left in the reception area. If you have a private session, that is up to you and your guests!

Is it hot inside the cave?

No. Our salt cave is maintained at a comfortable room temperature with low humidity. In the summer it is cool and in the winter it is toasty warm!

Who Should Avoid Salt Therapy?

Salt therapy is generally well tolerated by most healthy individuals. However, it may not be appropriate for everyone.

Please consult your healthcare provider before participating if you have:

  • Active fever or contagious illness

  • Tuberculosis

  • Severe uncontrolled hypertension

  • Advanced respiratory failure

  • Significant coughing up of blood

  • Severe heart conditions that limit activity

  • Active lung infections

  • Any medical condition for which your physician advises against participation

If you are pregnant or have chronic medical conditions, we recommend speaking with your healthcare provider before your visit.

If you are experiencing an emergency or severe breathing difficulty, seek immediate medical care rather than salt therapy.

What are the Benefits of Salt Therapy?

What to Expect After Your Salt Therapy Session

Many guests leave feeling calm, refreshed, and deeply relaxed.

Some people may also notice:

  • A slightly dry throat

  • Increased thirst

  • Mild coughing as the airways naturally clear

Drinking plenty of water after your session can help keep you comfortable.

If you are incorporating salt therapy into a regular wellness routine, benefits may become more noticeable over multiple visits.
